But even with electronic medical records and centralized data, clinicians often have to trawl through the data themselves to make the best decisions and identify opportunities for interventions. With their many pressing tasks, few have time to constantly refresh charts and remain up to date with the latest research on antibiotics.

In an effort to improve its antimicrobial stewardship program (ASP) — which includes complying with CMS mandates — one community hospital began using Infectious Disease Connect’s ILÚM Insight solution.
