Seema Mehta Steinke, MD, MS is an Infectious Diseases physician with Pueblo Infectious Diseases, PLLC. Prior to moving to Colorado along with her military husband, she held a joint appointment as Assistant Professor in the School of Medicine and in the School of Nursing at Johns Hopkins University for 6 years. Her clinical focus while at Johns Hopkins was Transplant and Oncology Infectious Diseases, providing infectious diseases care for oncology patients as well as solid organ and bone marrow transplant recipients. Furthermore, she served as Assistant Clinical Director within the Division of Infectious Diseases.
Dr. Mehta Steinke attended The University at Buffalo for medical school, completed her residency training at Tufts Medical Center, and subsequently completed her fellowship training at UCLA where she also earned a Master’s of Clinical Research. Her interests include multi-drug resistant gram-negative infections, transplant infectious diseases, oncology infectious diseases, and antimicrobial stewardship in the immunocompromised patient population; she also enjoys teaching residents and fellows.
