Booth Wainscoat, DO is an infectious diseases specialist with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He received his BA in microbiology at The University of California Santa Cruz and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at The University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Wainscoat is particularly interested in the clinical efficacy of using ID telemedicine in community and tertiary care centers. He spends time working with novel technologies that seek to improve telemedicine delivery, and better define precision medicine opportunities in ID.
He was the recipient of the Belluci MD Award for Teaching Excellence at Hartford Hospital and the ID Fellowship Program Award for Teaching Excellence at The University of Connecticut.
