Eleana Vasileiadi, M.D., Recognized for Excellence in Peer Review

Eleana Vasileiadi, M.D., was recently named one of the top-performing peer reviewers by Open Forum Infectious Diseases (OFID) and recognized in the June edition of IDSA News, the Infectious Diseases Society of America’s monthly newsletter.

Dr. Vasileiadi’s research focuses on optimizing antibacterial prophylaxis in pediatric patients with hematologic malignancies. She will join Infectious Disease Connect in August following the completion of her pediatric infectious diseases fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

“I view peer reviewing as a meaningful way to support the research community and remain connected to cutting-edge science,” said Dr. Vasileiadi. “It’s also an opportunity to learn from a wide range of methodologies and help uphold scientific rigor.”
